Yes! QU offers tailored preset routines ranging from 2-minute desk micro-breaks to full 12-minute master flows. You can also use our Custom Routine Builder to pick specific movements targeting your exact areas of tension.

How does Qigong reset the nervous system?

Qigong combines rhythmic deep diaphragmatic breathing with slow, low-impact rotational movements. This activates the parasympathetic nervous system via vagus nerve stimulation, reducing cortisol and releasing physical tension.

Does QU support offline practice, ambient soundscapes, and voice cues?

Yes. QU features procedural Web Audio soundscapes (Alpha Binaural Waves, Soft Rain, Singing Bowls) and voice prompts. It is also an installable Progressive Web App (PWA) with full offline support so you can practice anywhere.

How do streaks, achievement badges, and reminders work?

QU automatically tracks your practice streak, total minutes, and unlocked achievement badges locally on your device with zero mandatory account signup. You can also schedule browser notifications or download an .ics calendar file to lock in a daily desk break.

Can I practice Qigong at my desk without special clothes or equipment?

Yes! All 8 movements require zero equipment, zero robes, and no special setup. They can be performed in standard office attire right beside your desk.

1. Who We Are

2. Information We Collect

a. Information stored locally on your device

Your practice streaks, session history, unlocked achievement badges, custom routines, and reminder preferences are stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to our servers. Clearing your browser data will permanently delete it.

b. Email address (cheat sheet sign-up — optional)

If you voluntarily submit your email address to receive the free 8-movement cheat sheet, we store that address with our email delivery provider, SendGrid (Twilio). We use it solely to deliver the cheat sheet and any future practice tips you opt into. We do not sell, rent, or share your email with third parties. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link in any email we send.

c. Anonymous usage analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated page-view and performance data (e.g. page load time, browser type, country). This data contains no personally identifiable information and is used solely to improve the app's performance and reliability.

3. Cookies & Local Storage

QU does not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. The app uses browser localStorage — not cookies — to persist your personal practice data entirely on your device. Vercel Analytics may set a minimal, short-lived cookie for de-duplication of page views; this does not identify you personally.

4. How We Use Your Information

The app is served over HTTPS. Email addresses submitted via the cheat-sheet form are transmitted securely. While we take reasonable precautions, no system is completely secure. Please do not submit sensitive personal information through our forms.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of QU after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
